We as Catholics believe that " God has a plan for marriage," and so we challenge all those who want to enter into this sacred state of married life to come away for a while and share in this plan with us.
It is because we believe that " God's plan for Marriage" is the only true plan that will bring happiness to married couples that the Church spends so much time encouraging couples to seek his plan for their married lives.
It is because as a Church we believe that “God's plan for Marriage” really gives life and challenges married couples that we ask the married couples themselves who have accepted, God’s plan for their lives, to come and share this experience with those, like yourselves, who are so full of hope for future happiness as married people.

This Marriage course is our gift to you as Church. We want so much for you to find the true love, peace, and happiness that you yourselves are seeking in each other at this moment.
We want to share with you a very special treasure that we have found and for which all our couples presenting this course have sacrificed everything to have.
We want to share with you the love that each one of our couples have for their spouse and partner, a very special treasure.
We want to share with you the true and only way we believe that you can remain in love with each other all the days of your life.

The Evening for the engaged or Marriage Preparation Course is given by the Marriage Encounter Couples. It was originally an 8 week programme, which was coordinated by Chris & Noelma Lam, dealing with one topic every week.
This arrangement was not only difficult for the persons giving the course but to couples experiencing the course.
Fr. Robert Barrow SJ, Fr. Keith Hardless and Richard & Gillian Van Sluytman sat down and re-designed the programme to take on a weekend format. A booklet was then put together with the help of Terry & Pat Solomon. We then started our first none-sleep-in-weekend Marriage Course. This has proven very successful and everyone attends as a couple, singles with overseas based partners either make an effort to attend the course or do a make up course at their Parish. The course begins on Friday at 6.30 pm to about 9.30 pm continues on Saturday 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm and concludes Sunday 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm. A registration fee of G$1,000.00 per couple is asked, the couple is given a booklet each and a light snack and drink on Saturday and Sunday.

Courses are give four (4) times per year usually in February, May, July and October. Your Parish Priest will be able to inform you the exact dates for the year.

Over the years we have had several couples and Priests working with the programme. The present Teams however are listed above.
